DOGWOOD, MO (KFVS) -

An East Prairie woman faces charges after the Mississippi County sheriff says she rammed her vehicle into a farmer's truck, smashed out his windows with a crowbar and hit him in the face.

Diana K. Bryars, 39, of East Prairie, Missouri is charged with two class B felonies, first degree assault and first degree domestic assault; and a class C felony, for causing property damage to a motor vehicle.

Her bond was set at $50,000 cash only.

Mississippi County sheriff's deputies were called to the Dogwood community for a domestic assault in progress Thursday night.

Sheriff Keith Moore says Bryars rammed her vehicle into a farm truck parked at the old Dogwood Store parking lot.

Her vehicle got snagged on the farm truck’s trailer hitch and the farmer was unable to drive his vehicle to get away.

As the farmer contacted law enforcement, Moore says Bryars used a steel pipe and crowbar to damage the truck and bust out its windows. Moore says as she busted out the farmer’s driver side window, she struck the driver in the face with a crowbar.

At that point, the farmer snatched the crowbar away from her and she left the scene.

Minutes later, Bryars was arrested and taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center.

Bryars is set to appear before Judge T. Lynn Brown for arraignment on July 24 at 9 a.m.
