It's hard to imagine a little boy with a bucket list, but that's the reality for 11-year-old Efrain Ruiz, the third.

He was born with heart trouble that developed into congestive heart failure. Heart transplant surgeons in Houston determined that would not be an option, so he was sent back to Lubbock with an uncertain future.

But Efrain is certain about his bucket list, and today, Hospice of Lubbock made one thing on that list come to life at a park near his home.

"This was his wish, to meet Batman and to get a couple of gifts and he got them," says Rebecca Castillo, Efrain's mother.

"It's our philosophy in hospice that even though you have a terminal condition, doesn't mean you have to stop living. He wanted to meet Michael Jackson, which obviously we know is a little difficult. But he's a huge Batman fan, superhero fan. He wanted a fish and a few things like that and we were able to provide for him," says Jeremy Brown with Hospice of Lubbock.

So, if you saw Batman swooping into the park at Commander's Palace today, now you know, that super hero was on a special mission, to light up a child's life.
