Two from Commerce facing several burglary charges

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old from Commerce, Missouri are facing burglary charges in Scott County.

According to Sheriff Rick Walter, Devon Jacob Reeves, 17, and Megan Danielle Abbott, 19, both of Commerce, Missouri, were charged with six counts of class A misdemeanor stealing, one count of class C felony stealing, and five counts of class C felony burglary in the second degree.

Sheriff Walter says deputies recognized one of the people from a security camera video during the investigation of an attempted burglary at a business in Morley.

Deputies made contact with that person and determined the two were involved in several crimes.

They were taken to the Scott County Jail and bond was set at $2,500 for each.
