Elkville Police investigate crash stemming from medical emergency

ELKVILLE, IL (KFVS) -

Police are investigating a crash that sent an Elkville man to the hospital, where he later died.

According to the Elkville Police Department, the crash happened on Monday just after 11 a.m.

Roger Killingsworth, 48, was driving east on Pease Street in Elkville when he had a medical emergency that caused him to drive off the road.

Killingsworth's vehicle came to rest next to a house on 114 N 7th Street, causing minor damage to the house.

Killingstowth was taken to Marshall Browning Hospital and later pronounced dead due to a medical condition and not from injuries sustained in the accident.

Elkville Police were assisted by the De Soto Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
