Poplar Bluff native Tyler Hansbrough has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Toronto Raptors, according to multiple reports.
Hansbrough's father Gene tells Heartland Sports that Tyler's contract would be for one year, with an option for a second season. He said Tyler sounded excited about the opportunity for more playing time and a chance to increase his value with a new team.
Hansbrough has played all four of his NBA seasons with the Indiana Pacers.
He's averaged just under 9 points and 4.7 rebounds in his career.
He'll compete with Amir Johnson at the power forward spot in Toronto.
