DUDLEY, MO (KFVS) -

Members of a church in Dudley recently returned from a trip to Oklahoma where they helped clean up the damage left behind by deadly spring tornadoes.

Ten people from Dudley Church of God spent about a week in the area.

They helped provide hot meals to those who lost everything.

Other members of the group pitched in to help clear debris and place tarps over damaged roofs.

Members call the trip very rewarding.

"We want to help people," said Marion Fields of Dudley Church of God. "That is the purpose of the church. We were looking for ways to help people out with whatever need there is and you can't finding greater need than that. Fortunately we were able to go down there and make connections with people and develop relationships and that is were it all starts."

The church is taking donations to send to Oklahoma in the near future.
