Scott County School Board approves retiring Otto Porter's jersey

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Scott County Superintendent Al McFerren tells Heartland Sports the School board has approved retiring the Jersey number 22 worn by former SCC basketball stand out and now Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter Junior.

McFerren says Scott County Central High School will also name the Ronnie Cookson Gymnasium floor after Porter.

Porter is expected to attend a dedication for the gym floor on Friday, August 16.

Porter's College coach at Georgetown John Thompson III is also expected to attend.
