Suspect arrested in Pemiscot County armed robbery

The suspect in a Pemiscot County robbery is now behind bars.

According to the Steele Police Department, 32-year-old Lamar Anthony McVay of Steele was arrested in connection with the armed robbery of Flash Market Convenience Store on Walnut Street.

An investigation resulted in a search of McVay's home and vehicle where evidence was seized by police.

McVay is currently being held at the Pemiscot County Jail without bond.

He has been charged with 1st degree robbery and armed criminal action.

The robbery happened on July 1 when McVay robbed a store clerk at gun point, demanding money from the register be put in a bag.
