Sesser family loses home in fire

SESSER, IL (KFVS) -

A family of seven lost a home in a fire in Sesser Wednesday morning.

Firefighters got the call at 5:04 a.m. to 502 South Elm Street.

No one was home as the time.

The family was in the process of moving out of the home.

The home was a total loss.

Fire Chief Cletus McBride says the majority of the items lost were baby clothes and furniture.

McBride says the family was at the house the day before and found the front door wide open.

The Fire Marshall is investigating.
