Armed robbery suspect arrested in Steele

STEELE, MO (KFVS) -

A 32-year-old suspect was arrested after an armed robbery in Steele, Missouri.

Officers of the Steele police Department responded to the Flash Market Convenience Store on North Walnut Street after a report of an armed robbery on Monday, July 1 at 10:46 p.m.

The store clerk stated she had been robbed at gunpoint.

The suspect came into the store with a handgun and demanded the clerk put money from the register inside a bag.

Steele Police and a Pemiscot County Deputy arrested a 32-year-old man suspect from Steele.

Law enforcement searched his home and vehicle seizing evidence.

The suspect is incarcerated on charges of robbery 1st degree and armed criminal action.

The suspect's name is being withheld pending a warrant from the Pemiscot County Prosecutor.
