One southbound lane of I-55 remains closed at the 84.2 mile marker after a crash in Scott County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a stranded tractor trailer on the side of the road was hit by a southbound tractor trailer. Watch Heartland News at 9 and 10 for more.

A man was taken into police custody after a Franklin County woman died from her injuries received in an ATV crash early this morning. The crash is under investigation.

Over 100 Boy Scouts from the Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Perryville areas took part in a camp at Jackson City Park this week.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said the county jail has gone cashless. On June 20, the jail went live with an EZ Card Technology, according to Walter.

After a severe crash in Jackson at the end of last year, one of the victims had a long road to recovery. Today, Christy Millweard talked to him as he told us about his experience.

Paducah police are investigating a car and motorcycle crash around 1 p.m. Friday on Paducah's Downtown Loop. A 52-year-old man from Calvert City died from the crash.

In national news, a family feud over where 94-year-old Nelson Mandela should be buried has gone to court, according to South Africa's national broadcaster. The former president of South Africa remains in critical condition in the hospital today.
