Ste. Gen teens gain national recognition for anti-bullying video

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO (KFVS) -

Four Ste. Genevieve teenagers are gaining national recognition for a video they created to take a stand against bullying.

Ashlynn Wilson, Abbie Stolzer, Kelsey Schmidt, and Tess Bauman entered their video titled "How do you feel when other people look at you?" into The Great American No Bull Challenge. The contest is meant to spread awareness about anti-bullying.

Out of hundreds of videos entered into the contest, the girls recently learned that they finished in the top 15. The group will travel to the National Conference and Teen Video Award Show in Los Angeles, California in August.

The girls hope that their video will help put a stop to bullying. They have already spoken to middle school students on the subject and hope to work more in the schools when they return from Los Angeles.

The contest is only paying for one member of the group to travel. The girls are currently fundraising to gather the $5000 needed so the entire group can make the trip to Los Angeles. They are accepting cash donations and items to be raffled.
