2 in custody following Elkville home invasion, battery

ELKVILLE, IL (KFVS) -

Two men are in custody following a home invasion in Elkville Sunday afternoon.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a home invasion on E Main around 2:30.

It was reported that two young white males forced entry into a home and battered two people who were inside.

After an investigation, the suspects were identified as Cody Brady, 18, and Brett Brady, 19, both of Elkville.

The two were found at a home on Maksin Road.

Cody was taken into custody without incident.

Brett fled but was located a short distance from the home.

Illinois State Police assisted with the incident.
