3 arrested on drug charges in Marshall County

CALVERT CITY, KY (KFVS) -

Three people were arrested on drug charges in Marshall County, Kentucky.

On June 20, detectives with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office arrested Harold Bess, 37, Amanda Stokes, 30, and Robert Burton, 45, on numerous drug charges. 

The charges stem from a joint investigation between Marshall County Sheriff's Office, McCracken County Sheriff's Department and ATF. 

Detectives seized more than $37,000 in cash, approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine and nearly a pound of marijuana during the course of the investigation. 

Detectives executed search warrants at 3345 Griggstown Road Calvert City and another location in Marshall County Detectives seized over ½ an ounce of meth in McCracken County.  Detectives also discovered a loaded handgun and digital scales at the home.

Harold Bess, 36, of Calvert City was charged with trafficking controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense-meth and trafficking marijuana over 8 ounces less than 5 pounds. 

Amanda Stokes, 30, of Grand Rivers was charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense-meth and possession of drug Paraphernalia. 

Robert Burton, 45, of Calvert City was charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense-meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are likely.
