Authorities investigate burglary at Ozark Border Electric Co-op

MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -

Authorities are investigating a burglary at Ozark Border Electric Cooperative in Malden, Missouri.

According to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder, officers responded to a report of a burglary on Friday at the Ozark Border Electric Cooperative office on Highway J in Malden.

The burglary happened around 4:20 a.m. and were in the office area for around 12 minutes.

Sheriff Holder says suspects removed a safe that was bolted to the floor and used pry bars and a sledge hammer to open the safe.

The suspects took money from the safe and also took money that was in the cash drawers. The suspects used the pry bars and hammer to to remove money from the night deposit box, as well.

The suspects were wearing dark clothes, hoodies and face masks.
