PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Paducah police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they say robbed the First National Bank on Jefferson Street on Friday afternoon.

Bank employees told police that a man walked into the bank about 2:20 p.m., went behind the counter and demanded money.

The employees gave the man an undetermined amount of cash and he fled on foot.

Police say the robber did not display a weapon or threaten the use of a weapon.

He ran out of the bank with the cash in his hands. He last was seen running west on Jefferson Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'11" to 6'2" and around 200 pounds with an average build. He was wearing a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, dark shoes, jersey gloves and a mask over his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.

Tipsters also may text their tips to “CRIMES” (274637) by entering “KyTips” followed by their information or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info.

Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
