STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A 19-year-old and two children have died following a crash Thursday in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.

The crash happened around noon on Highway 61, north of Buehler Road.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Paige D. Johnson, 19, of Ste. Genevieve was northbound on US 61 and lost control of the Grand Am she was driving before over correcting into the southbound lane. Her car then collided with a GMC Sonoma headed south.

Two boys died at the scene, 12-year-old Lucas P. Welton and 10-year-old Clayton A. Grass, both of Ste. Genevieve. Johnson was airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital where she later died. Troopers say the two boys and Johnson were all wearing seat belts in the crash.

The driver of the Sonoma, 52-year-old Dennis G. Klump, was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital with moderate injuries.
