Woman accused of scaring kids with chainsaw

Posted: Updated:

WINFIELD, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri woman is facing charges for allegedly approaching neighborhood children while wearing a ski mask and holding a chainsaw.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/14sCFcN ) reports that 50-year-old Lynn Marie Herzog of the Winfield, Mo., area is charged with felony harassment.

Lincoln County deputies arrested Herzog on Sunday. Authorities say she yelled at children using coarse language, videotaped and photographed them and walked toward them with a chainsaw to frighten them.

Herzog is jailed on $10,000 bond.
