PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland man is guilty of stalking family members of the July 2012 mass shooting at a Colorado theater.

Kevin Purfield pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges of misdemeanor stalking and telephonic harassment.

Purfield was arrested in April in northeast Portland. Aurora officers in Colorado had contacted Portland police detectives two months earlier regarding unwanted phone calls, emails and social media contacts made to various family members of the theater shooting that killed 12 people and injured dozens more during a showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

Investigators said he didn't make any threats, but the contacts were considered "unwanted and annoying," including the use of vile language.

Purfield posted a series of videos on YouTube and spoke of talking to family members of victims in Aurora about whether they ever received the bodies of their loved ones.

Below videos, he posted comments, including insulting the families involved in the Colorado and Newtown, CT shootings.

"I can't find anything worth caring about in these people after trying to communicate with them," he wrote. "They are not what I consider human beings."

Purfield is scheduled to be sentenced for his crimes Friday.
