LONGMONT, CO (KFVS) -

DENVER, CO (KFVS/AP) - The AMBER Alert for a 3-year-old Colorado boy has been canceled. Authorities say he has been found and is safe. Monty Ray Turner is in police custody.

The father was arrested at a motel in Brandon, Manitoba in Canada at about 1:30 p.m.

Missouri State Police had issued an AMBER Alert for the 3-year-old Colorado boy who was abducted from his home.

State Police say 51-year-old Monty Ray Turner forced his way into a Longmont, Colorado home, tazed and pepper sprayed the mother, and abducted his non-custodial son 3-year-old Luke Turner from the home.

There was an active order of protection barring Monty Turner from having contact with the child after an alleged previous abduction.

Luke Turner is 3' tall and has blue eyes and blond hair. He was last seen wearing a royal blue "Lightning McQueen" shirt and light blue swim shorts.

Monty Turner is 210 lbs., 6'2" tall with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve dark blue shirt and blue jeans.

Turner fled the scene in a 1999 white Chrysler 300 with Colorado license plate 161ZXZ. Investigators believe Turner was considered to be en route to a residence in Willard, Missouri via Interstate 70.
