CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau police are looking for burglary suspects after a home was broken into on Tuesday night.

Police say on Tuesday around 6:15 p.m., officers went to a home in the 2000 block of West Cape Rock Drive for a reported burglary. 

Investigators say someone damaged a door at the home on Monday night. 

Then before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, police say someone entered the home and stole items. 

A person wearing a white shirt and athletic shorts was  seen in the area around the time of the burglary. 

The homeowner told police they are making a list of items taken from the home.
