CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A former Southeast Missouri State University long snapper has been invited to a mini-camp tryout with the New York Giants.
Gabbard is 6'5" and 270 pounds.
He will compete with other rookie prospects for the squad list for the Giants.
The Giants went 9-7 and finished second in the NFC East Division last season.
Gabbard was invited to the mini-camp for May 10-12 at the Timex Performance Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Gabbard is from Peoria, Arizona. He started the last four years as the Redhawks' long snapper and played in all 45 games of his career. He make seven tackles and recovered a fumble on special teams.
He is the third Ohio Valley Conference football player invited to mini-camps after the 2013 NFL Draft.
Casey Brockman, a quarterback for Murray State, was invited to the Seattle Seahawks mini-camp.
Quentin Sims, a wide receiver at UT Martin, was invited to the Atlanta Falcons mini-camp.
