MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A man is injured following an alleged drunk driving crash in McCracken County.
Deputies say they were called out to a crash on Clarks River Road at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
When police arrived, witnesses told them the vehicle driven by 30-year-old James Long was traveling in the right lane when it drifted toward the left lane, nearly striking another car.
Police say long drifted back into the right lane before running off the right side of the road and hitting a solar-powered message Kentucky Transportation Cabinet message board.
Long's vehicle came to rest in a ditch. Deputies say he was not wearing a seat belt and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say when Long was released from a Paducah hospital he was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
Long is now charged with Aggravated DUI first offense, no insurance, and criminal mischief.
No one else was injured in the crash.
