SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - In all, 33 kids from all over the Heartland took part in the Southeast Missouri Angels Pageant Saturday in Scott City.
Organizers say this is the first time putting on an event like this and they want to see it continue.
"We are expecting around 250 people here today," Chaundra Mason said. "It is an event that we want to keep going."
The pageant welcomed any special needs child and gave them a chance to see what walking a runway was like.
"It helps my daughter's self esteem," Mason said. "It makes her feel pretty and builds confidence."
Some of the kids say this was the first time wearing makeup ever.
