METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) -

A Paducah man is facing cocaine related drug charges out of Massac County, Illinois.

Adam Kennedy, 34, was charged on Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Massac County Sheriff's Office investigators say other charges are pending.

Investigators say the charges stem from a person complaining that someone was sending text messages to their phone trying to sale drugs.

Deputies texted the person sending the text messages and arranged to meet. On Tuesday, an undercover Massac County sheriff's deputy met with Kennedy in Metropolis.

Deputies say they found cocaine on Kennedy. He was arrested and taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
