WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Tuesday across Illinois, races will declare winners from April 9 primary elections.
Absentee ballots will be counted one by one by judges and city clerks that have come in since election day.
They must be postmarked on or before April 9 in order to count.
One race that had a close eye on it is the Herrin mayor race where just three votes separated incumbent Victor Ritter and candidate Steve Frattini.
Ritter won the race.
"Hopefully we'll be done as soon as the mail gets here today by noon," said Williamson County Clerk Amanda Barnes. "And then I have to canvas the vote after that. That judges will be done, but we'll be determining the winners in each election and sending that information to the entities."
