MO House Speaker says trust of Missourians violated

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones says "the trust of Missourians was seriously violated."

He's talking about how the Department of Revenue reportedly shared a list of Missourians who have conceal carry permits with the federal government.

Jones held a forum Monday at the Common Pleas Courthouse in Cape Girardeau to talk about the situation.

He is asking Attorney General Chris Koster to investigate.

According to Jones, the Department of Revenue also shared information like birth certificate copies and Social Security numbers with the Obama Administration.

The attorney general has not yet responded to Jones' request for an investigation.
