RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Ripley County woman was sentenced to two life sentences Monday afternoon at a hearing at the Shannon County Courthouse.

Melissa Youngblood was sentenced to two life sentences in prison without eligibility of probation or parole for two counts of first degree murder.

A jury trial in February found her guilty on murder charges connected with the deaths of Ed Atkinson and Bonnie Chase back in July of 2010 in Ripley County, Missouri.

Police say the two were shot to death an their home set on fire.
