Over 150 runners, volunteers raise money for Melaina's Magical Playland

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The All Play 5K Run/Walk for Melaina's Magical Playland was Saturday, April 20 at 8 a.m.

More than 150 runners and volunteers helped raise about $5,000 for the playland.

Proceeds from the event will help bring the area's first public all-inclusive and fully accessible playground to the Southeast Missouri community.

Melaina's Magical Playland is designed to encourage people of all ability levels to interact side by side - enjoying similar activities in a common, fun-filled area. The playground will include integrated activities for al ages and ability levels.
