CORA, IL (KFVS) - The Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a body found in the Mississippi River at Cora, Ill. on Saturday, April 20 around 9:25 a.m.
According to the sheriff's office, the body was found south of the Jackson/Randolph County line. They say it was the body of a middle-aged, white male and was recovered with the help of a boat crew from the Kinder/Morgan coal facility in Cora and the Jackson County Ambulance Service.
The sheriff's office says an autopsy was completed on Saturday, April 21. The body was identified as James D. Huntley, 62, from Belleville, Ill. and formerly from El Dorado, Ark. No foul play is suspected.
