Police took the second Boston Marathon bombing suspect into custody, according to the Boston Police Department. Officers are still sweeping the area. According to the Boston Globe, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found hiding under a tarp in a boat parked in the back yard of a Watertown, Mass. home.

Closer to home, all gas stations in Cape Girardeau will require gas purchases to be prepaid beginning May 1. According to the City of Cape Girardeau, police recently met with local fuel businesses to try and gauge just how big of an issue drive offs had become and to find a solution.

Gov. Jay Nixon has declared a state of emergency and activated the Missouri National Guard to aid flood-fighting efforts. Nixon issued his declaration today after strong storms earlier this week led to flooding.

A small earthquake shook southern Illinois today. The Center for Earthquake Research and Information in Memphis recorded a 2.2 magnitude earthquake 5 miles east of Macedonia, Ill.

In Texas, law enforcement officials say 14 bodies have been recovered after the Texas fertilizer plant explosion on Wednesday. West Police Chief James Lawhorn said five of the dead were West volunteer firefighters and four were EMS personnel, during a press conference today.
