This week has been a sad one with multiple unfortunate events taking place.

This has also been a very tragic week, historically:

  • April 12, 1861 - The American Civil war began.
  • April 14, 1865 - President Abraham Lincoln assassination at Ford's Theatre.
  • April 15, 1912 - The Titanic sinks in the north Atlantic Ocean.
  • April 15, 2013 - Boston Marathon bombings kill 3 people and injure 183.
  • April 16, 2007 - 32 people killed in the Virginia Tech massacre.
  • April 17, 2013 - West Texas plant explosion kills and injures numerous people.
  • April 19, 1993 - The siege of a Waco Branch Davidians compound resulted in multiple deaths.
  • April 19, 1995 - 168 killed in the Oklahoma City bombing.
  • April 20, 1999 - 12 students, 1 teacher killed in the Columbine High School massacre.
  • April 20, 2010 - Deepwater Horizon explosion and spill.
  • April 20, 1889 - Adolf Hitler was born.
