Paducah police looking for convenience store robbery suspect

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Paducah police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who robbed a convenience store early Sunday morning.

Police were dispatched just after 6 a.m. Sunday to the EZ Shop at 2008 Bridge St., to a report of a robbery in progress.

A clerk told officers a black male entered the store just after it opened, showed a gun and demanded money.

The clerk said the man was wearing a black hoodie and had a bandana over the lower half of his face. He was wearing gloves and carrying a small bag.

The robber fled on foot with an unrevealed amount of money. The clerk did not see a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6' tall with a medium build.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL. Tipsters also may text their tips to "CRIMES" (274637) by entering "KyTips" followed by their information, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info.

Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
