2 run away after crash in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau police are looking for two suspects after they ran away on foot after a car crash.

A car was traveling along Independence when a Cape Girardeau police officer noticed it was driving erratically. The officer made a U-turn. Then, the car struck a black Ford Ranger at the intersection at Rodney and Independence and hit another car around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the driver and the front seat passenger ran away on foot. A passenger in the back seat was taken into custody. A pit bull dog was also taken into police custody.

No charges have been filed.

All the vehicles had minor damage.
