LILBOURN, MO (KFVS) - Fire crews in New Madrid County were up early Saturday to battle a house fire.
According to the New Madrid County Sheriff's Office the blaze started around 4:05 a.m. Officials say the structure was an unoccupied home on Route D south of Lilbourn.
Fire crews from Lilbourn and New Madrid were called in to battle the blaze. No word on what may have caused the fire.
Crews say the roof caved in during the fire. The home is considered a total loss.
The state fire marshal has been called in to investigate.
