PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - A Perryville man is facing drug charges after police say marijuana was found in his car while he was at work.
Diangelo Shockley, 41, of Perryville, was arrested on pending charges of possession of controlled substance and possession of controlled substance with intent to sell.
Investigators say Perry County sheriff's deputies and Perryville Police Department performed a search Thursday with a K-9 unit at the Gilster-Mary Lee plant in Perryville. Deputies say the business requested the search.
While checking the cars in the parking lot, one of the dogs reportedly smelled drugs in one of the cars.
Shockley, who working at the plant at the time was brought to the vehicle by plant management and opened the vehicle for officers.
Police say they found two baggies containing smaller bags of marijuana packaged for sale, and Shockley was placed under arrest.
After consenting to a search of his home in Perryville, officers say they found a digital scale used to weigh marijuana and two more bags of marijuana.
