2 men lead police on chase after agent stops to check fishing licenses

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Two men were arrested after running from a conservation agent who wanted to check fishing licenses.

A conservation agent tried to stop two men Sunday afternoon near Perry County Lake to check fishing licenses.

The agent contacted the Perry County Sheriff's Office for assistance on County Road 702 near the Perry County Lake.

A deputy found the suspects' vehicle on County Road 706. That's when the chase began. The truck ended up getting stuck in a field.

Deputies arrested Mike Allen, 32, of Corning, Arkansas.

The other suspect ran away. David Snider, 37, of Marble Hill was arrested the next morning on Hwy. 51 South. He had an active warrant form Bollinger County.

Both men were taken to the Perry County Jail.
