Police asks for help in finding suspect accused of stealing car

MARION, IL (KFVS) -

Police are asking for help finding someone accused of stealing a car form a travel center in Marion.

Police say it happened on March 20 at about 9:30 p.m..

According to investigators, a 1999 Silver Mitsubishi Eclipse with West Virginia plate number 1HN619 was stolen from the parking lot of Pilot Travel Center. 

The victim had left the vehicle running on the lot as she went inside the store. 

The suspect is a white/male with glasses, wearing gray sweat pants and hooded shirt with a dark blue sock cap. 

Police say the suspect got into the vehicle and drove it off the parking lot.

 The suspect is captured on surveillance video prior to the incident occurring. 

Marion Police are asking for help in trying to identify the suspect. 

The vehicle has not been located.
