Fire destroys Modern Day Veterans building

EAST PRAIRIE, MO (KFVS) -

A fire destroyed a building near East Prairie early Sunday morning.

According to East Prairie Fire Chief Kyle Hutcheson, the fire broke out around 4 a.m. at the Modern Day Veterans building at 3113 County Road 105 near East Prairie.

When the East Prairie Fire Department arrived on scene, the roof had already collapsed.

Charleston Fire Department also responded to fight the blaze.

Fire fighters were on scene for 3 1/2 hours.

The building is a complete loss and the cause of the fire is undetermined.
