Police searching for man accused of shooting at 5-year-old, 3 others

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

Police are searching for a man who is accused of shooting at four people outside a convenience store in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Murphysboro police say they were called to Power Gas Convenience store on Walnut Street shortly after 7:10 p.m. to a report of shots fired on Thursday.

Officers say the victim, his girlfriend, her sister and the intended victim's 5-year-old had been shot at during an altercation with the suspect. No one was injured in the shooting, but the girlfriend's car was damaged, according to police.

Police say that suspect is Adrian Monroe Davis, 27, of Murphysboro. He is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of weapons by a felon.

Police are looking for Davis who they say fled the scene before the responding officers arrived. Davis is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with who knows where Davis might be is asked to call the Murphysboro Police Department.
