Williamson County deputy resigns after DUI

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says Deputy Shaunn Curry has turned in his resignation to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says the former deputy was arrested for driving under the influence on March 1, 2013.

Vick says Curry was off duty and his own vehicle, but it's the second time Curry faced DUI charges.

In 2007, Curry was accused of leaving the scene of a crash after a DUI.
