Time's running out to fill out your bracket!

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Time is winding down to fill out your brackets. NCAA play gets underway at 11 a.m. CT Thursday so now is the time to join the KFVS bracket challenge.

If you haven't made your picks yet, here are some suggestions to help you chose your teams.

The most popular way to fill out your bracket is to simply choose the higher seed to advance in each match up. You could also choose to base your picks on a school's academic rankings, age of the team, or a college's religious affiliation.

Another option is to follow Carly O'Keefe's method to March Madness and fill out your bracket based entirely on a school's mascot.

This year's 68-team field features eight species of birds, four wildcats, three tigers, three types of bears, two natural disasters, two colors and even a leprechaun, clergyman, and a cowboy with a fake mustache.

If you haven't signed up for the KFVS Bracket Challenge yet, fill out your bracket and submit it before tip off at 11 a.m.
