EAST PRAIRIE, MO (KFVS) - A young man from East Prairie is being remembered a year later after his death.

Dozens of family and friends gathered in East Prairie for a prayer memorial as well as a balloon release in honor of Britton Davis.

Britton, 24, was born with some genetic problems and later diagnosed with oto-palatal-digital syndrome.

He was an inspiration to the community and remembered as a fun and loving person who touched many lives.

On March 11, 2012, he passed away after having a heart attack.

Family members say that his condition was not thought of to be life threatening.

Even though Britton was sick, he was always full of life and was always smiling.

He worked in irrigation at Reece Christian Construction in East Prairie and had lots of friends.

His life was celebrated Monday at his grave by family and friends who say they will never let his memory fade.
