Man accused in double murder pleads not guilty

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

The man accused of shooting and killing two people at a Cape Girardeau apartment building waived his arraignment Monday and pleaded not guilty.

Kenneth Bell, 22, is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of armed criminal action in the deaths of Shannon James and Misty Cole.

Bell appeared in court in a full orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.

Police say the shootings happened on Feb. 7.

Bell is due back in court on April 8.
