Nearly 3,000 without power in Cape Girardeau Co.

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Ameren Missouri is reporting nearly 3,000 customers without power in Cape Girardeau County Tuesday evening.

As of 7:40 p.m. the Ameren Missouri website says 2,756 are without power in the county.

According to Ameren Missouri Communications Executive Lisa Manzo, crews are working to get power back on right now.

She says they're not sure what exactly caused the outage, but that it could be related to high winds.
