PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police warn of what they call an "apparent scam" involving a California company billing for supplies that it never shipped.
An employee of a local medical office told a police officer that she received a telephone call several weeks ago from a company asking questions about the local business' copy machine.
Several days ago, the medical office received an invoice for more than $1,200 for "supplies" for the office's copier. Those supplies were not ordered and had not been received.
The invoice came from IT Solutions, which may also use the name "Data Solutions," 269 S. Western Ave., #171, Los Angeles, CA.
Local businesses are warned to check invoices closely before paying them to make sure the merchandise was ordered and received.
