City to mark 1 year anniversary of Harrisburg tornado

HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) - The one year anniversary of the Harrisburg tornado is approaching.

Harrisburg Mayor Eric Gregg says there will be a moment of silence across the city on Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m.

At 2 p.m. there will be an unveiling of a monument at the Old National Bank branch located just off Rollie Moore Drive. A short ceremony will follow and Gregg says everyone is welcome to attend.

The mayor asks that all flags be flown at half-mast during the day as well.
