But some still struggle with what types of food will help get them in shape and how to find the energy to stay in shape.
Local personal trainer Terrance Sterling has shared some food tips for getting ripped and staying healthy.
Sterling says first to choose organic dairy and/or beef. It will cost a little more, but it's worth the extra money because it can really boost the fat-burning process.
Choosing those types of food is your best option because studies have shown organic foods contain ingredients that aid in fat burning and muscle building.
Here's some foods to look for next time you're buying groceries:
- organic milk
- organic cottage cheese
- organic yogurt
- organic cheese and beef
The other important thing to remember is to drink cold water. This works because cold water can increase your metabolic rate by about 30%. Also, studies have found that drinking two cups of water between meals can help you eat less and lose more weight.
Try drinking two cups of cold water between meals and throughout the day to help boost your metabolism and to help you eat less during meals.
