Family of missing man with ties to Cape Girardeau desperate for answers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

There are many unanswered questions about the whereabouts of 38-year-old Samuel "Tick" Francis. He's a man with ties to the Cape Girardeau area.

He was last seen mid December and several different law enforcement agencies are looking for him.

Meanwhile, he family says they won't give up home someone out there has Answers.

"He was a good spirit," said wife, Amanda Francis. "He would do anything for you."

Amanda says his family is desperate for answers. He disappeared December 17.

"The weekend after, that's when I got really worried," said Amanda. "We are heartbroken. His kids need to know what happened to their daddy. His whole family needs to know."

Now she refuses to give up hope. According to reports, Francis was last seen in St. Francois County, Missouri.

"Every second we are doing everything we can to find him," said Francis.

Monday Amanda, family and friends continued to hang flyers at exits and towns near Interstate 55 from Advance to St.Louis

"So many people know him," Amanda said.

They pray someone has information and the husband and father will be found.

"It would mean everything to us," said Amanda.

Francis has ties to the Cape Girardeau area. At one time, he worked as a tattoo artist at the Tattoo Spot in 2011.

"He was a true artist down to his soul. He made masterpieces," Amanda said.

Amanda says they have no idea where he could be. She says his children need to know what happened.

"His children deserve to know, emotionally it's very hard," said Amanda.

Cape Girardeau police say they are aware of the disappearance but are not involved with the investigation.
