Mobile home destroyed by early morning fire

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Crews responded to a mobile home fire at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Scott County.

The fire was at a home on Terry Drive, just north of the drag strip in Sikeston.

According to Scott County Rural Fire Chief Jeremy Perrien, the home was fully engulfed as crews arrived.

The home is considered a total loss.

One person was home at the time of the fire. He was treated on scene by EMS for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
